Virginia do Brasil Tabacos is committed to a policy of social responsibility towards our customers, suppliers, partners, employees and the community within which our company works. We will work integrated vouching for development and growth. We will direct each operating entity to implement, support and maintain the programs and policies like external environment, occupational environment, health and safety, fire prevention, first aid and medical examination, sub contractors control and vehicle monitoring. Where possible Virginia do Brasil Tabacos will endeavor to ensure that good agricultural practices are maintained by growers and their association to ensure the integrity and sustainability of the environment. Issues such as seed assurance, IPM, IPM safely, soil and water protection, conservation of natural resources, reforestation, farmer training and bio diversity programs will be promoted and encouraged among all farmers. We will work within the laws and regulations of each country. We will not employ child labour in violation of any local or international laws and shall work with our associates to ensure that this policy is strictly adhered to. We will ensure that all employees are made aware of and remain committed to upholding all our programs and policies. We will remain committed to all our policies and shall regularly monitor and adapt these policies to ensure that our company remain a good corporate citizen which always strives for continued improvement. |
